Fortunately I also had Crashplan cloud copy of the good file I could retrieve. and now I had two bad copies of the file. The bad file was, a day later, backed up to my backup drive when a CCC job ran. I had a "bad save" of an excel file once which overwrote a good copy and didn't realize it. That could actually happen just as you describe. But apparently that is what users want? I would just like a PAUSE feature like many antivirus programs have.
